EO Executives, a leading executive search firm headquartered in Germany, is proud to announce the opening of its new offices in the United States.
Cologne, Germany — September 11, 2024
This strategic expansion marks a significant milestone in the company's global growth and its commitment to serving clients across diverse markets.
As the business world becomes increasingly interconnected, understanding and navigating cross-cultural differences is more crucial than ever. The new U.S. office will allow EO Executives to better serve their clients in the USA as well as assist German companies in navigating American business practices and build leadership teams.
"Understanding German and American business culture is key," says Angela Grace Caine, who will be managing the expansion out of the new EO office in Washington DC. "The two countries share many traits when striving for efficiency and success, but they could not be more different," says Caine. "American business culture values speed, flexibility, and innovation – sometimes at the expense of quality. In Germany, the emphasis tends to be on quality – even if might be slower and more expensive," adds Caine. "German decision-making comes from a place of long-term perspective – there is a deep respect for hierarchy and expertise."

In contrast, Peter Bruenke, who is heading the EO office in Orlando, loves the American process. "Decision-making can be more rapid and less hierarchical, with an emphasis on pragmatism and results," states Bruenke. "Relationships in the American business context can be more informal, yet there is a strong focus on networking and personal connections."

These cultural differences can present both challenges and opportunities for companies operating across these markets. "By combining German precision with American dynamism, EO Executives is uniquely positioned to provide tailored executive search services that meet the specific needs of clients in both countries," explains EO President and CEO Stephan Aschenbrenner. These new U.S. offices will join EO's existing offices in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Finland, South Africa, Denmark, and France. "The opening of our U.S. office is a pivotal step in our global expansion strategy," states Aschenbrenner.
Executives play a particularly important role in this. EO Executives' mission is to help organisations build the best leadership team they have ever had.
To this end, EO Executives brings its consultants, who possess both highly individualised and specific knowledge, together with its clients. The EO consultants are experts in their respective industries and functional areas. The consultants' high level of expertise ensures that management positions critical to success are filled quickly, permanently and successfully.
In addition to competent consultants, the EO team consists of dedicated researchers and employees – and everyone contributes their extensive knowledge to the search for the perfect executive. EO's unique methodological approach, executive intro®, ensures that the candidates not only convince on a professional level but also are a long-term enrichment for the management team and the company on an interpersonal level.
The executive search consultancy EO Executives was founded in 1997 and is currently present in ten countries worldwide. The EO team fills positions with both permanent executives and experts as well as quickly available interim managers for temporary assignments and projects. In addition, EO supports its clients with further consulting services in the areas of executive search, interim management and leadership development.
